What is Antenatal Care ?

Antenatal care is essential for protecting the health of women and their unborn children. Through this form of preventive health care, women can learn from skilled health personnel about healthy behaviors during pregnancy, better understand warning signs during pregnancy and childbirth, and receive social, emotional and psychological support at this critical time in their lives. Through antenatal care, pregnant women can also access micronutrient supplementation, treatment for hypertension to prevent eclampsia, as well as immunization against tetanus.

Premature
Baby Care

Premature babies are infants that are born about 3 weeks before their estimated due date. Another way of putting it would be a baby that is born before the start of the 37th week of pregnancy. Premature birth is dangerous for the infant as the baby has not been given the time in the mother’s womb that he/she needs to develop fully.

Pre Pregnancy Counselling

Having a safe, healthy and happy pregnancy begins well before you have a positive result on a test. Caring for your health before you become pregnant helps you prepare for a pregnancy. Preconception counseling is a visit with us where you discuss many aspects of pregnancy and plan for a healthy pregnancy.

Hysteroscopic Procedures

Diagnostic hysteroscopy is used to diagnose problems of the uterus. Diagnostic hysteroscopy is also used to confirm results of other tests, such as hysterosalpingography (HSG). HSG is an X-ray dye test used to check the uterus and fallopian tubes. Operative hysteroscopy is used to correct an abnormal condition that has been detected during a diagnostic hysteroscopy.
